Yes, a stable connection to the building management system (BMS) or the field devices is required for active control. We use a local device (edge gateway) for this purpose, which enables real-time two-way communication.

If the internet connection is interrupted, Oxoia AUTOMATE continues to optimise the systems initially. However, if the interruption persists, the optimisation is paused and the systems continue to operate in accordance with the BMS settings.
