Yes, a stable connection to the building management system (BMS) or field devices is required for active control. We use highly secure interfaces (edge gateways) for this purpose, which enable real-time two-way communication.

Safety first: if the connection is lost, the systems immediately revert to a defined “safe state” or to the default settings of your building management system. This means your building remains operational and at the correct temperature at all times. As soon as the connection is re-established, the software resumes optimisation.
