Shoppi Tivoli, Shopping Center, 8957 Spreitenbach
Initial situation
The CenterMall is the central link between the two buildings Shoppi and Tivoli. Draughts in the building impair the shopping experience. Possible causes of these air movements are doors, ventilation systems and ceiling flaps. However, the causes and correlations are unclear, as are the options for improving the situation.
New solution approach
With Oxoia's pragmatic approach and innovative solution, the situation is systematically analyzed. A wind measuring station is installed to record the air flow and speed at various points in the CenterMall. Thanks to the wireless technology, commissioning is quick and uncomplicated - without any complex cabling.
Parallel to the wind measurement, the data from the building management system (BMS) and the large ventilation systems are continuously queried via a Modbus interface. This creates a sound database with which the complex situation can be analyzed and better understood on the basis of data. Based on this, targeted solutions can be developed.
Result
The analysis of all the data by Oxoia's AI finally revealed the correlations. Based on the measured values, the algorithm calculated that 97.2% of the wind speed can be explained by the opening of the roof flaps. The wind direction and strength in the CenterMall could therefore be assigned to certain operating states of the roof flaps and doors - the cause has thus been clarified.
The analysis of the ventilation operation also revealed further anomalies and opportunities for optimization. These were rectified in close cooperation with the system integrator, resulting in more efficient and stable operation.
