Community center

The community center has been continuously expanded over the years. The heating distribution system was renovated and the building was connected to the district heating network. Despite this, there were repeated complaints in the winter months that the room temperatures were too low - particularly in certain windy conditions.

The system integrator set up a Modbus interface via which Oxoia can access the HVAC control system. In addition, LoRa room sensors were installed in all relevant zones to record reliable reference values. Our platform now controls the flow temperatures intelligently - taking into account weather data, measured room temperatures and a usage calendar. This ensures that the heat is provided where it is actually needed.

The analyses showed that certain operating states of the HVAC were strongly influenced by wind direction and strength. By specifically adjusting these parameters, unpleasant draughts could be significantly reduced. Other irregularities in the HVAC were also identified and rectified together with the system integrator. The result: efficient operation with noticeably improved room comfort - to the satisfaction of all users.
